Built to Solve a Real Problem
GoBox was originally designed by founder Ken Okazaki to solve a real problem faced by clients of his digital media agency, 20x Agency.
They needed a professional mobile video kit. One that could be deployed instantly. And taken anywhere.
The earliest GoBox units were hand-built in Japan and shipped directly to real, paying clients. Not prototypes for a pitch deck. Tools designed to be used.
Proven in the Real World
As clients traveled and used GoBox internationally, interest spread organically. Creators saw it in action and asked how to get one.
Demand quickly exceeded what could be built by hand.
GoBox V1 launched as a limited run of approximately 100 hand-assembled units. Each unit delivered critical real-world feedback on durability, modularity, and workflow.
Preparing for Mass Manufacturing
With demand validated, the focus shifted to scale.
GoBox began working closely with manufacturing partners to transition from small-batch builds to mass production—while improving quality and reducing cost.
During this phase, Podcut AI was developed to integrate seamlessly with GoBox Studio, enabling smarter production workflows and supporting global expansion.
